If I Die Tonight A Novel Alison Gaylin Books
I couldn’t stop reading – I had to find out the truth. I’m very happy to have discovered this book, and this author. I loved all the main characters, and thought Alison Gaylin did an amazing job of writing adult and teen characters who were all relatable and well-developed. The mystery was well-paced, kept the tension high, and held my interest. I also liked that there were other surprising reveals along the way, some that related to the main crime, and others that didn’t. All the storylines were handled competently and wrapped up nicely, and this novel dealt with a wide range of issues that affect adults and teens alike – single parenting, past trauma, grief, teen bullying, isolation and social ostracization, and how easily the spread of social media can ruin lives. If I Die Tonight A Novel Alison Gaylin Books Reviews
I have not tried anything by this author before but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I figured it out near the end, but it was keeping me interested and guessing. I will try something else of hers based on this book
This story is as much about family dynamics and how social media skews and impacts our decisions as it is a thriller, and an engrossing one at that. The plot was perfectly paced, keeping the story moving, but allowing each character to develop and for the reader to become invested in the outcome(s). I hated putting the book down and only did so because I had to sleep or go to work. Such a great read!!
Truly enjoyed this novel. Great story and character development. I could totally relate to the mom and her sense of disconnect with her kid’s world (and desire to shield, defend and protect them). The writing is very good, and I was grateful for the ending given.
This was a good story that had enough guessing to keep it pretty interesting. She made one character so perfect to be the villain that you knew it couldn't be but overall, written and paced well enough that it was an enjoyable read.
Loved this book. Could not put it down! Started slowly but kicked in and kept me guessing. Great use of social media intertwined in the story, and you can feel the anguish of the mother through the ordeal. Highly recommend!!!
This was a terrific book and I had a hard time putting it down. It had a very different plot and kept you glued to the story, trying to figure out "whodunit."
this book will stop you in your tracks. it is not so much the story as an introduction to the world teens live in today. sound boring think again. there are twists and turns that keep you reading and things you learn that compel you to think. i am new to this author but i plan to read each and every one of her books. do not skip her words about the book at the end. she is determined to make you think; and you will
